Replacement Cloth Upholstery

Replacement Cloth Upholstery
I would like to refurbish the interior of my '94 V6 convertible. It has opal cloth seats which by now need to be reupholstered. Apparently, the cloth was glued down and no matter how hard I search, I don't see any options about reconditioning the seats or anyone who has replacement upholstery. What have you folks done? I don't want to change the car, I just want to get it looking new again. After 16 years, I am skeptical about finding replacement seats that are in excellent condition.

Just go to a shop and ask them how much it would cost to have the seats recovered. I had the rear seats on my 85 Fox and the head liner redone and it only cost me like 300 at most. That would give you "new" seats and it would be cheaper that buying seats.

You mean no one has made OEM style seat covers?
My 2003 has dark charcoal fabric upholstery. I now have about a 4 inch opening on the seam where the seatbelt has rubbed all these years. Those ugly bulky cheapo seat covers would be a waste of money....#1 they don't fit properly and #2 they are just UGLY! Has no one made replacement seats or seat covers that actually fit?

Latemodel now has upholstery for our cars. If it's not showing on the website go ahead and give them a call. About 3-4 weeks ago they sent me an email saying they carry all sorts of upholstery choices for newer Mustangs.
