Talking 1994 3.8l Oil Pan Replacement - Question

I went down a dirt road a bit too fast, hit a huge pot hole and pushed the skid plate up into the oil pan causing several cracks. After a huge box of JB weld, I have come to the conclusion I just need a new oil pan.

I have a 94 3.8l engine. I have been told any oil pan from a 3.8l will work. Is that ANY year (out of a mustang)? I actually have a motor that came from an 84-86 laying in my Pole Barn. Will it work?

does anyone have one that they will part with inexpensively?

I live north of Detroit.

Thanks,

Jay

it's any oil pan from a 94-04 mustang (they all use the same 3.8 block) and check car-part.com searches most local salvage yards for parts also if you hit it hard enough to do that more than likely you have other possible structural damage that needs attention. you should inspect the entire car a hit that hard could bend the sub frame or k member, along with a alignment check to make sure no suspension components got bent. also probably a good idea to slow down just a tad on those dirt roads

They will all bolt up but the 01' is used for 4.2L strokers in case you ever want to stroke it.

I have someone that has an oil pan from a 3.8 off a 99. I can't find any cross reference (car-part.com ) that says it will work.

Anyone know 100% for sure that it will?

Also, never got a 100% for sure an 80's oil pan will work either? Any help there?

Thanks,

needs to be a 3.8. I have an extra oil pan too if your deal falls through.
