A 94/95 GT and Cobra T5 will have the correct length input shaft while the pre-94's will have a slightly shorter input shaft, about 5/16" shorter.

It will fit but you run a chance of wrecking your pilot bearing and causing some damage with a shorter input shaft.

As far as electronics go for the speedo, you can get a convert it I just am not sure if you simply replace the mechanical with an electronic speedometer sending unit or what.

One of the best trannies that you can get is the 99' V6 low gear trans. I dont have any specs on it but supposedly it has lower gear ratio's than 00-04's.

I've also been thinking about just rebuilding the 4r70w, stalling it along with a shift kit and shifter...

Thoughts/ideas?

Hmm, from what I was told before the only difference was the input shaft length, but I may be mistaken. I haven;t had them next to each other to check.
