Pinging/rattle coming from exhasut
Hey guys, well as some of you know i got my dual exhaust put on a few weeks ago, and i recently had my guy push the tips back in further because they were to far out, and then i noticed a rattling noise, well it turned out to be a clamp that needed to be bolted back up, so that was fixed and most of the noise is gone, but i still hear a small pinging noise when im moving very slow speeds, its not terribly bad but just annoying. And i kno its nothing lose because we had it put on a lift and we checked everything out, but i read online today that some people have had problems with thrush mufflers breaking apart and rattling... and thats sort of my conclusion, but just wanting other peoples ideas, thanks

Maybe... I guess it could be something just in a muffler... But yeah I've had them on for a few weeks now, but the only thing I can think of is the muffler cause everything else was solid, I saw my mechanic shake both pipes and I didn't hear anything... Well I guess it could maybe be one of the tips... Cause on the left side he used the stock hanger and it's alot looser, than the right one cause he put a clamp on that pipe, and it's alot more secure... And the left one shakes alot more... But that's my two guesses...

Well it isnt that, the guy that did it is a pro, and none of the pipes are rattling or anything, i had him put it up on the lift and he spent a good 15 mins moving and checking stuff, everything is sound, im convinced that its the mufflers, i got them off amazon and had him put them on, and when i had my gt mufflers on i never had that problem, so its almost postive its something in the muffler.

ive heard a few people say that the insides break up in thrush mufflers and move around inside, but its really not that bad, just semi annoying, i hear it a take off and very low speeds, what i might end up is getting flowmasters at some point, but that will be later.

Well from the resharch ive done online and what people told me it seems to be a broken baffle or something else inside the muffler. I found this forum http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?p=399753 and the guy went through a couple til he got a good one. So im going to call thrush soon and hopefully get it replaced.
