Default A rwisted seat belt

The passenger side seat belt is twisted. Seems to be that way from the factory. Its hell to get on and then it never retracts when off. It comes up from the back into the quarter panel hanger there twisted. The space in that thing is so small I just cannot untwist it. Also if I took it completely off it would not help because it is a solid metal piece. How or why they did this is beyond me. Sloppy work there. Anyone else ever have this happen?

dont you gain a little room if u "pop" the plastic piece up?... and be careful if you use plier's. you may damage it and that could be a liability issue.

definitely what he said. allow for about a half an hour to get it done. and if you dont get angry about 1000000000000000 times while doing it then youve got some real patience.

heres how i did it (twice). i slid the belt to one side, then curved an edge of the belt around the little loop then pulled and pulled and wiggled and pulled some more until it was flipped over. once you get about half way it gets a lot easier. think about which way it needs to go before you go twisting it again a second time though lol

I fixed it! Must be my lucky day. I've tried twice before with no luck. Today it took less than 2 minutes. They still don't retract well but that one is better than before.

youre better at it than i am lol. i know for sure the first time it took like a half hour but i dunno how long it took the second time. glad to hear you got it though, twisted seatbelts are such a pain.

as for it not retracting well, mine do it to so i gotta use my hand to put tension on the belt a little for it to retract right. its become instinct for me. youll get it or youll be slamming the belt in the door a lot haha

I wouldve just unbolted it and untwisted it.
