Default 2001 Mustang V6 3.8L bogging and stumbling

My Mustang started overheating twice in the last 2-3 weeks. The last time was two days ago when the temperature gauge went to 3/4 and the car acted as if I had a tire problem. I stopped and checked the tires, serpentine belt, radiator hoses, fluid levels, etc. and found nothing unusual. I drove on and noticed how little power I had as if I were running on 4-5 cylinders. I had replaced the serpentine belt recently and I thought I had something wrong. I removed the new belt and checked all pulleys but everything turned smoothly so I reinstalled the belt. All fluids levels are correct. Afterward I tested the car and the motor tends to stumble and bog and then rev easily above 4,000. I started using Amsoil in April and put in new oil, filter, air filter, PCV, fuel filter and spark plugs. The CEL doesn't come on but I haven't checked to see if I have any codes. Does anyone have an idea of what my problem may be? Thanks!

I would lean towards a coil pack situation. It sounds like you did a tune up, when's the last time you changed the plug wires.
