Default Header panel (headlight panel)?

Just curious on how hard it is to replace a header panel in a 99-04 mustang.

You mean the part that the grill and headlights and everything attaches to?

If that's what your talking about, it's very simple, took me longer to take my bumper off than the panel

I know it doesn't help much but here is a pic of whats under it, its very simple to get off...just make sure you pull the headlight wires back through the holes befoe you put the bumper and everything one... lesson learned the hard way.

Its very easy but I highly suggest marking your old alignment of the header panel first as there is some play when you put it on.

When we did the 96's header panel (They stripped that too when they took the front clip) I didnt align it right and it cracked a few months later and of course it was aftermarket.

I do suggest finding an OE part because it is heavier and made of a higher quality plastic.

Just amke sure you use a factory one. The aftermarket ones suck. Me and a friend both found out on our cars and had to go buy new ones. With the aftermarket ones, the bumper and healights will start to sag within a few months

Did you call the dealer? Don't get the late model resto one, or any aftermarket one.
