1st is the odo stopped ,its a 96 3.8 and i woud like to get that goin again.

2nd i am thinking of installing 3:73s out back and was curious how much that will actually help my accelleration.

I'm not sure about the odometer thing, is that all that's stopped in the cluster?

But as far as gears go the general rule of thumb aroung here seems to be 3.73:1 if you're manual and 4.10:1 if you're automatic.

I just installed 3.73's in my 5 speed and love it. The acc is so much greater that with the 2.73s. They help alot.

does your speedo and tripometer still work? If so, then you just need the problem is in the gauge cluster, If not, it may be the cable that runs into the tailshaft of the tranny.
