With us we had 2 spares made but without the pats chips. Those keys run $50 each. We just had a pair of normal keys made so we could open the door then use the real key hehehe. I mean its all ya need if you lock you key in there.

Go to ACE hardware they have chip keys or what ever you call them cheap,we got a 98 mustang and was at ACE and saw the keys and asked them and it cost us around 55 bucks for keys works in the door and starts the car ya just need to have the key that starts the car for them to make it

Wow, old thread full of mis info. When did this become the S197 section?

Mustang SRS? Must be the limited edition with airbags.

Keys that don't work are b/c of PATS and the chip in them. You need to have them done at a dealer, NOT your local hardware store.

On a Mustang, there is no special key for only drivers door and ignition vs glove box and trunk. Plus, if you are in the inside of a Mustang, to get to the trunk, just fold the seats down.

Before you say you can't get a pats or chip key at Ace,ck it out if you have one close to you .Like I said I had it made at Ace hardware and it works for 55 bucks.
