Simple and dumb question
In my attempt to fix my DPFE downstream hose I removed my Air filter housing and the plastic elbow for the air filter hose going into the hoising from the motor crumbled. None of the parts stores around me haveone that will fit, not even the stealership because I guess they were discontinued for my year.
So my question, is it safe to drive with that hose off for now? I have a CAI that will be in by Wednesday but I gotta be able to get to work till then. Will it hurt my car if I drive with it off for a few days?
Also the metal hose connector for my DPFE downstream hose is snapped off. Where does this hose go and how do I fix it? lol

yea the only junk yard with fords wont sell em for some reason... I guess they gut all the hoses and scrap em or something. Autozone said they might have a similar hose that might fit but I can get there till tomorrow... I was just wondering if it was safe to drive it without the hose on

This is the hose... sorry if the pic is bad quality... the wife keeps taking the camera to work for some reason... Theres a plastic elbow that connects the hose to the air cleaner housing and thats what crumbled, but part of the hose is dry rotting out also so

i wouldnt think it would have any harm, but just in case if you have a little piece of pvc pipe or plastic or something along the lines of that that would fit it that would do untill you can get another one, thats my best guess, i think i left mine off once after i reput together my air cleanter (previous owner had it together strange and wasnt fitting right) but it didnt hurt anything sooooo.....yeah haha

lol well like I said I have a CAI that will be here by the middle of next week, but I didnt wanna drive it like that if its going to hurt it. I didnt know if it would run hotter or possibly suck anything into the motor

The hole is after the MAF, so you at least need to plug it. It looks to be related to the PCV system. If that's the case, then you'll be ok to drive it until the parts show up, jsut make sure to plug that hole first
