I believe that the k member for the 4.6 will work with 96-04 3.8s.

well does the 4.6 swap directly in without switching k-members? if so then you would think that the 4.6 k-member would work

To change the subject from K members, Clif uses GR-40 stuff... Good stuff from everything I've ever seen.

I think to swap a 3.8 to 4.6 you can use the stock 3.8 k member....so the 4.6 k member should work fine.

I've heard good stuff about the GR-40 system.

Since we're talking suspension and products from different companies what do you guys think about j&m parts?

Sorry I missed this.

My K member was bought used out of a 2001 GT - so you can use the one in the link for the 4.6L. No worries.

Lightening up the front and improving the geometry by relocating the springs outward around the struts is a breath of fresh air into a tired horse of a suspension set up. You'll love it. Forget the power (or lack of) the V6 offers. This will really wake up your car. I know several V6 guys who are stock (save for cai and dual exhaust) who can hold their own on the road course with big hp V8 Mustangs due to having better suspensions/brakes under them.

I ran coilovers on mine for a year or so way back in the day. Ground Pounder set up over Bilsteins. Great set up, but it bumped me up a class where I was racing, and I was getting my butt kicked repeatedly. Haha.

As for Bils vs Koni or Tokico shocks/struts.. the Bils (depending on valving) will be a harsher ride on the street.
