Bucking if I let off the gas in 1st
Hi guys,
I recently bought a 2002 v6 mustang and I have noticed that whenever I let off the gas in 1st gear it will start to buck. Is this normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums! In bumper to bumper traffic in first without the foot on the gas or clutch mine will buck too (been driving stick for 23 years, so not a noob!) Its between stall and enough fuel injection not to stall

There's nothing wrong with the car, in the upper rpms it will "buck" because it's still in gear and the engine compression is slowing the car, this isn't a problem with autos cuz the computer does all that **** for you.
So I guess the problem is the "driver" mod.
Now, if it's bucking as soon as you get into the next gear say, 3rd to 4th or 2nd to 3rd, it could that the spring in your rear end broke, happened to be from driving it too hard.
