I'd pony up an extra thousand and get a m112 supercharger. That'll get you ~300rwhp. Bolt ons won't add up to anywhere near that. If its power you're after- boost. Or nitrous. lol

My best advice is when you get your dual exhaust put in remember that you are limited in regards to what size diameter pipe you can have. I have 2.25" midpipes to the mufflers and tailpipe which is 2.5". The tips can be any size you want. 2.5" exhaust is good up to 400-500HP.
Before you decide on a blower or turbo, you need to concentrate on internals.
Most people first develop the engine bolt-ons, exhaust, and tuner.
So immediate goals should be: True Dual Exhaust, CAI, 3.73 or 4.10 Gears, and a SCT Tuner. Extra addons for better performance are Under Drive Pulleys, a VAP Intake Spacer, Short Throw Shifter.
Good Luck With It!

Read the stickies, you have a lot of learning to do.

My advice, sink 2-3 grand into your college savings, much better pay off in the future. By the time you get my age (25) the car you have now will be a far gone after thought as odds are you'll be driving something much better.

This, but I would go turbo or procharger/vortech before m112.

Nope, waste of money to do bolt ons when he has enough for boost. All he needs to worry about is his rear end, and if he gets a supercharger then exhaust so he doesn't build a ton of backpressure.

I still think my advice is sound. He has enough to purchase a supercharger. He can place it in his room or put it his trunk to show it to his friends though I guess. Realistically He should do exactly what i said minus the UD Pulleys if he still wants to get a blower down the road. Not that bad of a recommendation, I don't think.
No matter what you do, have fun with it.

he could always transfer the super charger over to his new car if he buys one .

tru duals in sixxer will make it sound ALOT better, i suggest duals, then if you want boost go for it, a CAI and tune will run him ~600$ and will gain 20hp at most, if he spends ~6-800 on exhaust then he can buy a SC whenever he gets enough, if he buys CAI+tune he would need to buy an exhaust before the SC.

IMO, i could live for a few months till i get enough for a SC and exhaust with a stock sixxer, itll be worth it.

I would say sell the 2000 and get a 2005+. I love the 4.0. Great engine, sound, and power.

why...

regardless of what you are going to do, start with Exhaust either a catted H pipe on stock short tubes or upgrade to long tubes and have high flows welded in to the H/X pipe, and a 2.5" catback with your choice of mufflers (flowmasters) see if you cant get a used cold air intake or the american muscle one for $60. and then get an SCT from justin at VMPtuning.com

Those will add a nice amount of pep and maybe do a mach 1 chin/grill delete with GT fogs and a used set of GT rims with some new tires, maybe some steeda lowering springs to complete the stance. when you get all that wait a little bit for the gears, if you do want to supercharge then go with the 3.73s but if not go with 4.10s and regardless get a detroit true trac for the rear diff, (it will be stronger an lighter then swapping a GT rear end out)

The supercharger won't transfer over to a new car. Unless he gets the M-112 setup but runs a kenne bell and somehow gets an 03/04 cobra and swaps over the kenne bell and puts the eaton on the sixer or something, that's about the only way they're interchangeable. Other than that they are year/model specific.
