Default Anyone know away to get my exhaust louder?

ALright so for a V6 my exhaust sounds pretty legit. Its right between a V6 and a GT in sound I'd say, not ricery or anything. Has that nice low growl. I have dual flowmasters. However, I really want it a little louder. Anyone know of a way besides buying a new exhaust? I'd rather not start drilling holesi n the pipes so if there no legit way I'll just leave it since it sounds great as it is. Just if there a way to get a little more out of it I'd like to try it. Thanks a lot!

Did you delete the resonator/ mid muffler? If you have cats and flows only it should sound really great. I had a 97 Grand Prix with 3.8 V6, exhaust was u-bend delete, resonator delete, then exit through two 2 chamber flows and it sounded loud. Kinda like nascar when I opened it up. just my $.2, I'm not too familiar with V6 set up. Just going off of what I had with my Pontiac.

I dont know how much you are willing to spend but and o/r mid pipe would make it louder.

Longtubes and high flow cats with an h pipe. Best sounding V6 setup and still emissions legal. You'll also get a little bump in power over your current setup. It will sound good, but it won't sound like a 2v, different motors.

I know but our cars stock don't really have enough power to warrant going with an off/road setup, I think the high flows are the best choice.

Keep your cats, or at least add high flow cats. Longtubes is the other step to take if you don't want to give up your current flowmasters.

You don't say... because it's NOTHING like you suggested at all.

I don't have any cats on mine and think it's just the right loudness...least for me and my wife. Has a nice rumble.

Louder,... Installing a set of gears produces the effect of hearing more of the exhaust with the slightly higher RPM's (Just a future note)
When you get a chance to check it out, look up a couple of muffler options: Mellow Tone mufflers, Cherry Bomb "Extreme" mufflers, FM 10's mufflers. Just don't loose the cats, or run 2.5" intermediate piping until you boost the HP. Stick with 2.25" mid-pipe. People may tell you differently but the piping after the cats is 2.25" for all the V6's. You'll move more air with gradual increases in circumference and the exhaust tone will increase slightly in volume. That's my offering of helpful info, have fun with it.
