Question Pivot stud on Bellhousing

Im installing a new clutch fork and pivot stud as well as TOB and I noticed the old pivot stud has a lock washer or broken spacer .Its hard to tell for sure.Im very new to all of this. And its about 16th of an inch thick.and has made an in print and or indentation were it sits on the bellhousing.Although its a small in print it just doesnt seem right to me that it should have this washer.Maybe to much torque wrench And maybe that is why the fork and pivot stud are so banged up.I dont know
The new pivot stud came with no washer. My question is does this lock washer belong their and if not, will i have problems with the clutch engaging or disengaging due to the stud being 16th of an inch shorter because of no washer? And is it a lock washer or a washer that broke cuz of the beating it took.If you look close you can see the indent mark the washer made on the Bellhousing stud seat. Its on the top of the picture.
It must of really taken a pounding because of the stress cracks in the Bellhousing.Im thinkin: icon_question:g I need a new Bellhousing also .What do you think?I have a 2004 mustang coupe 3.8 v6 manual trans. And it looks like the previous owner had clutch issues.
