Default Sct or diablo?

Discuss pro's and con's.

Sct-379.99 life time tunes

Diablo-269.99 connectable to computer

Local shop says customers seem to have a more wow factor with the diablos compared to sct's but both are good.

Mustang users opinions?

scts can also be connected to a computer. faster load times with sct, plus sct is the more used by tuners, so if you were ever to get the car dyno'd it will be easier to find a shop that uses sct. unless you are in an area where diablo is the more used tuner then id say stick with sct

Ok and both can be fully tuned with it? Both people in my area use diablo and sct but I doubt I will ever get mine dynoed cause that is money that can go into other things lol like a pool.

SCT. I've tuned with both. Diablo sucks compared to the SCT. Most will tell you the same thing.

Buy whatever your tuner uses so you can get tunes easily. I prefer and have an sct tho.

Can you use either tuner for every car or are the manufacturer specific?

Does sct justify the 100 dollar price jump if nothing is modified on your car?

If nothing is modded, buying a tuner is a complete waste either way.
If you are going to have a local shop tune it, buying a tuner is a complete waste.
They become car specific. Once you use it on your car, it's becomes "married" to it and it only.

Among the many factors lets focus on just 1, time!

I have had several SCT's and Diablo's. Right now I am using a Diablo on my 01' because I bought it new for $75, only reason why.

SCT: Less than a minute.
Diablo: 5-7 minutes.

When your playing with tunes it is a BITCH to have to wait so gaddamn long for the Diablo to program or erase.

And lets not forget having to turn the key on, then off, then on, then off, then on, then reach around and jiggle and off.

SCT every time!

btw, the "wow" factor that mechanic is talking about is "Wow, that was a long ****ing time."

I might add, my first Diablo for my 05' FX4 took on average 12 minutes to do a full backup and load. It was downright painful.

So basically the hundred is justified by shorter load times lol.

If they are married and faithful once you unmarry the car can you use the tuner on another car?
