Arrow cheap performance chip or tuner for a 1999 mustang v6?

i have a 1999 mustang v6 that me and my dad built together with a nice lil paint job that im proud of that i designed =). So far ive gotten a K&N cai from american muscle, flowmaster 40s with gt pipes and a x pipe cross over, and magnaflow high-flow cats. Im looking for a cheap (around 100$ or less) chip or tuner of some sort just to give it a boost or even just utilize everything that ive done to it so i can get a little more what everything that ive gotten. I really dont have that much money right now because my car insurance for an 18 yr old and having a mustang is expensive! lol but im looking to just get an edge because my brother has a 2004 mustang v6 with the only thing done to it is magnaflow exhaust and we run the same times. we plan on going to the drag strip saturday (were apart of the mustang mafia car club) and were gonna have a little fun. and i was wondering if anybody knew anywhere i could get a cheap performance chip or module of some sort to give me an edge is all i want. thanks!

Not for that cheap, nope sorry. You can score a used SCT X2 on ebay but that will run about $175 and prob take a while to find one that cheap. And then you still have to get a custom tune written for it which is another $50 to $70.

Although a flip chip might work, I dunno too much about those as I've always used programmers.

Is cool, we all start somewhere! Depending on how you and your dad are mechanically inclined, if you could install them yourself, a set of 3.73 or even 4.10 gears would help the car wind up faster. New set of gears is usually 200 to 250 ish and can usually find a used set if wanted for cheaper.

Just a thought.

Get a handheld tuner... make sure it's UNLOCKED so you can use it on your car.
Don't get a 'chip'... it's an outdated term for an out dated way of doing things. It's more or less a waste of money on your car.

Unless you have an sct flip chip and like... an 8psi tune and a 15psi tune that pulls timing

Yeah, Do it the right way. You'll look back and realize it's the best bang for the buck.
-Just FYI: I see that stangmods.com now has Bama Tunes aboard and free tunes for life!

You can get used unlocked tuners for around $200 if you sit tight.

You and your brothers car will run the same time becaus essentially you have the same hp. The CAI and exhaust may of added a whole 7 or so rwhp. Hardly enough to have any read edge on a stock car. Depending on how aggressive you tune the car you'll still be close. Even with an aggressive tune on a stock car you'll probably only nose him out. To get any serrious gain out the car you need to spen serrious money. Remember you have to pay if you want to play.

Alright sorry for the late reply guys! I've been busy as heck. But I have an update with my car. I had the cats removed and an off road x pipe installed with MIL block offs with 29 lb fuel injectors to accommodate a supercharger off a 199 3super coupe t bird I got rele cheap but. I've heard mixed feelings because ill be reverting to the sn95 intake that is slightly restrictive. Any ideas? I got everything else off if a donor v6 that was wrecked. Any ideas?
