Default rack and pinion is moving

Hey whassup guys. So this isent my regular what to do to make it faster thread lol, my baby is hurting :/ so here's the deal, whenever I turn my wheel to the right, it makes this creak, but like for a second, its not the power steering pump squeal or nothing(even though it has a squeal) so I went under and whenever I steer, the rack and pinion isent being held 100 % it moves as if the two bolts aren't tight. One of the bolts has a big dent I will post up a picture tomorrow. I jacked up the car and when I steer to the right or left, I get no creak. So I'm kinda stumped, any ideas?

Either the nut has come loose, or the bushing inside is shot. Either could cause the problem your hearing. Good luck...

check the mounting bolts for the rack. Probably a worn bushing there.

hmmm sounds like i have a similar problem right now. i did a ton of suspension work and its making a weird noise too. it only does it when its to the right though? mine does right and left. mines mounted with aluminum rack bushings and they arent moving so it might not be the same thing. i wanted to make a video of the sound but havent gotten around to it. i was thinking about just getting a used rack and see if that fixes it. let us know if you figure out anything, ill do the same

The squeak went away because you lubed the bushings. But your alignment is still jacked up and your probably wearing your tires down a lot quicker then they should be. You need to make sure the racks mounting bolts are tightened down to spec. If they are then you need to replace the bushings. Either way, you'll need to get an alignment done.

I've also got something messed up with my steering, the right side squeaks if it isn't lubed every couple days, and when I turn either way there is some kind of pop/clank that sounds like something is shifting from side to side. It doesn't pop every time, and it doesn't do it if I am sitting still and turn the wheel. It's only when I shift the cars weight, and even then it doesn't do it every time.
