Default Help with ignition switch wiring, purple wire?

Can someone tell me what the purple wire is on the ignition switch?
94 mustang 3.8L
It contacts 2 black wires when in the crank position.
Thanks

Could it be purple with a white line?

It could be! It's the only purple wire in the switch.
Any Ideas what it does?

According to my schematics it applies a ground to the brake indicator light to test it during start. It also applies a ground to the convertible top system if equipped but can't tell what the purpose is as I don't have the top control diagram.

Finally, it applies a ground to the DRL module.

Those are the only references I see.

Awesome thanks! Do I need any of those to operate my car?
