Default Will 17"x9" rims fit my mustang?

I have a 1994 base V6 mustang lowered and I was wondering if 17"x9" Cobra R rims would fit in the front without any rubbing. Also what size tires should I fit to avoid any rubbing? I was going to put 235/45/R17 in the front just in case, but will this be too small of a tire? The car had 17"x7.5" rims with 225/45/ZR17 tires on it before.

Additional info: The front is lowered at minimum 2"

235 is going to be way too narrow a tire for a 9" wide rim. I'd go 255/40 or 275/40.
And they should fit assuming offset is correct.

The rims are +20 offset. Going to add that to the additional info

it will rub at sharp turns. Because of that reason I went with 17x8's in the front. And lilroush is right You're going to want at least 255 on the rim, preferably 275.

Many people use 1/4 wheel adapters (spacers). But I don't recommend them. Or just simple driver mod and take wider turns. I take wider turns anyways coz I don't like turning it all the way

by sharp turn, it means full lock. which you should only be doing when youre going into parking spaces, unle you're in saudi arabia

So its a guaranteed rub on sharp turns? I don't know much about cars, but I've been reading around and I see both negative and positive things about the issue of rubbing, but for the most part people say it will fit. I came across a thread were someone had the same question about my rims for his 92 GT and someone mentioned something about fenders being changed in 91, so there shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah but also the 91-92 is a foxbody. It will fit but just don't do a full turn till it locks, I find that you'll have to go wide into parking spaces. But you'll get the hang of it.
