I have a 94 mustang coupe with a 3.8L. Will a 3.8L motor from a 91 thunderbird LX fit without modification? Are the heads the same, my 94 has headers but I don't think they are factory?

94-98 had shorties from the factory.

not sure on the 91, most likely yes since the supercoupe motor can be used in our cars it'll probably work as well.

Thanks for the info. So would the exhaust ports on the heads be the same between heads? I'm trying to see if the spark distribution system would match up since they are both OBD I computer systems. Any insight?

I thought the change over was 95-96

Almost positive it will have a different EGR system. But the engine should be the same.

well idk what your looking for exactly. But Id be looking for an actual replacement from your style mustang.

Cause Idk if your referring to everything, short or long block

Stang or F150 are the only blocks I know that should work. Have to worry about balancing and mounts, bell housing mounts, sensors ... etc etc
