Default oil cooler install 01 v6

ok
i have a quesion...
i want to install an oil cooler on my 01 v6 that i am swapping into my 95.
basically i want to run the lines from the filter mount to the oil cooler in the radiator that i just put in.

i would like to use this part...any thoughts...opinions...better ideas???

no, i am not running anything other than stock..no racing...just a daily driver.

i am thinking of going this route because i believe that it extends engine and oil life. this is based on my exp with my 99 blazer...it has roughly 230k on original 4.3l and i think its oil cooling system has helped, along with not beating the crap outta it.

i know some say no need for it...just looking for some pointers.

thanks guys for the input

My suggestion after years of working with the 3.8L is skip it.

And my other thought is when something says "FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY" right in the discription, a daily driver / street car should turn the other way.

Ok, yeah..missed that offroad part.
So more trouble than its worth in general...or heat is just not an issue one these motors.
just getting into them myself.

Thank you for the input

In my experience, it's not worth the gain for the trouble you'd be going through.

Ok, thank you for the advice.
Prob saved me some time and cash.
Figured it was better to ask while the engine is on the stand then in
the bay
