Default Window tinting on a 2000 3.8L

Hi everyone,

My little brother has a '00 v6 and this past Christmas got a gift (more like a promise) of tinting his side and rear windows.

I know that the '05's through '07s have crap felt in the driver and passenger windows that cause scratches when those windows have tinting applied. I had no idea at first and now am buying new weather stripping before I re-do my windows.

My question to you all is do the '00s-'04s experience the same problem? For that matter, did any of you experience any other problems after you had your windows tinted?

Thanks for the help fellas.

I have an 04 V6 coupe with tinted windows. I haven't noticed any "wear" on my tint. I had a quality window tinting shop do the work using a quality film that carries a fade guarantee. I love the dark glass!

I haven't noticed any scratches in my 04 tint. I do have the lines faint though they be in my 06. But I've only had the tint on my 04 for about 4 months now....
