Default exhaust gains

about to buy flowmasters 40's series conversion kit for my 01 v6 mustang. how must horses will i gain? and is this going to sound good?

It won't add much of anything. It's a y pipe bolt on, and not a true dual exhaust system. It won't free up any power and will barely change the tone.

Drop the y-pipe, get an x-pipe or h-pipe. or even go to straight pipes. All depends on your liking in sound. I personally like straight pipes, some like h, some like x. Nothing really noticable different between the 3 performance wise

Off road h pipe and your choice of catback exhaust. Go to you tube and listen for vids with an off road h pipe and different cat back exhaust systems on V6s. The o/r x pipes are ok but can get raspy.
