New throttlebody question
So today I decided to install my new bbk 65mm throttlebody. Everything went very easily, well as easily as it could. Once I finally got the old throttlebody off, and the old gasket cleaned off, yeah...real easy. So now here is my question, is it common for the idle to get jacked up with the new throttlebody? What I noticed first was that the car now idles at 1200rpm or more. When I rev the car it still holds the rev for a long time, even though I just tap the pedel. Did I miss something, or is there something that I can adjust to get it back to normal? This has almost made the car impossible to drive cause it pulls too hard. Can anyone offer some suggestions?

As stated you need to adjust the idel air vale setting and possible adjust the butterfly opening as well. The idel air should be adjusted with a screwdriver and the butter fly valve should be adjusted with either a wrench or an allen head.

I did remove and clean the iac. What it ended up being was because of the cruise control cable. Apparently the clip that connects to the throttlebody is just a hair short and causes a slight pull on the butterfly. The tps senses this and it revs the engine accordingly. I just unhooked it and she was purring like a kitten. Now I have to see what I can do to fix my cruise cable issue.
