Ignition related problem
Hi all, new to the site but not to forums all together
Once owned a 89 Foxbody GT and now am looking at a 94 GT with a 4.6 swap.
However the owner says there are a few small issues that need to be worked out
He said that he put a new ignition switch in and the car still wont start, a friend of his said that he may need the PCM flashed to accept the new key?
How would i go about this and a rough estimate of the cost?
Another is to my understanding, the 94 didnt come with a 4.6 and the 3.8 was the biggest engine offered for the trim package, so is this a true swap that is common? What benefits do you think i would see?

Alright we have an update. Took a look today at the car and got more info
The engine and trans are from a 96 as is the dash cluster and the other ignition stuff. Bone stock.
The owner still has the old key cylinder, broken transceiver, and key fob.
The car will start, then die about 3 seconds after.
the theft light flashes nice and fast after that as i expected.
He has a new set of keys, transponder and cylinder installed, says he tried the remove the fuse trick, battery grounding, and then tried to reset/relearn the pcm the new key with no luck.
