I can't turn off the engine
Can anyone help me? When I try to turn the engine off the key seem to loose fair bit of resistance. Nothing happens even when I take the key out. the engine is running untill I cut off the fuel from the boot. I took out the key cylinder and it seems OK. I tried to buy new cylinder from key specialist but he insisted that in my case new cylinder won't help. Please advice. many thanks Adrian

He is correct. the failure is most likely the pin between the lock cylinder and the ignition switch however it could be a failure of the actual ignition switch.
The lock cylinder moves the pin which moves the switch. The pin is NOT part of the lock cylinder. It is also NOT part of the ignition switch. Rather it is part of the actuator assembly.
If you are able to restart the car again but still can't turn it off, then I would suspect the switch has worn or broken where the pin connects.

Thank you, and YES I can start the car over and over again :-) it seems that the car is in stage as if you have the key in ON position constantly. I need to disconect the battery to leave car completely OFF.
