Default 2000 v6 rebuild 4.3l stoker

have some question on getting some parts for my rebuild with not much luck in finding answers. can some one help me out?

1st. timing gears set, (good or no? and where can i get them?)

2nd. where can i get 1.9 intake valve or 1.5 exhaust valve?

3rd. will i be able to swap a fox body t-lok ring and pinion with a rebuild kit in my 00 rear axle?

4th. how well do UDP handle in like 90+ degree weather where a/c is a must.
have no big sterio set ups.

5th. is (spec) the only aluminum flywheel for 01 -04 mustang?

any help helps. while still mantaining a budget build... dont want to pay more for the same product that i could have gotten for less cash. thanks!

1. Timing gears messed up or what ? Shouldn't "need" any at all. But an auto parts store can probably get them for you.
2. Valves ... ehh idk, google that one or ask ssms.
3. No. Foxbody is a 8.8'' rear, yours is 7.5''. You can find a 99-04 GT 8.8 rear and its a direct swap.
4. I have a 25% UDP, 10'' sub in the trunk w/ a ... decent amp I guess. And it runs perfect. AC feels the same as it did before.
5. Idk, and wouldn't screw with it personally
6. Whats your budget, what are your plans. A 4.3 N/A build is a stupid *** amount of money for little power ... I have a 4.2 N/A build ... ask me how I know -_-

Yeah, as stated, the stroker mod is a ton of money to invest for the gains you will get. Best way to maximize the gains is to top it off with a supercharger. Other than that you'll invest all that money to land somewhere between 220-240 rwhp.

1: If your going to rebuild the motor replace it with a standard set for good insurance and be done with it.

2: I'd go to SSM

3: skip the t-lok a factory auto v6 can shatter them, get something like a Detroit or Auburn

4: UDP are worth it

5: SSM sells SFI approved billet aluminum flywheels for $450. I had a mustang with the SPEC aluminum flywheel and stage 3 clutch and wound not suggest them to anyone. There throw out bearings are trash, clutch kit is decent. You also have a high chance that the flywheel you buy from them will be warped and if you do get a warped one they will not replace it.

So to sum it up, pay the extra $100 for the SSM flywheel if you want a aluminum unit.

Whether or not you want to get one is a whole different story. If your swapping the flywheel I would suggest a performance clutch at the same time. However performance clutch kits create extra chatter, are harder to start from a dead stop, and a performance clutch and lightweight flywheel make starts in the rain rather "interesting" because it takes a little bit more revs to get it to start engaging smoothly.

Not all high performance clutches create more chatter over stock but one thing remains you need to retrain yourself how to drive with one cause they completely change the dynamics of the car. In short you need to learn to get your foot off the clutch as they are a lot more touchy than stock.

Yeah the chatter is for the most part associated with puck type clutches. Which I had in the mustang and now in the Subaru

To the OP. You live in California so be very carefull how you do your build. All intake items (upper, lower, exhaust, hell even the CAI) have to be CARB approved. Just something to think about.

sorry for not replying right away, internet proplems and not functional on mobile phone cheap semi good internet.

yeah i do plan on supercharging. idk right now but i em gonna try the electronic super charger that my buddy has on his pontiac, to see if its worth the sam as some others run 5psi safely on there mustangs.

1 on the timing chain have to replace have 167k miles on the car, and want to avoid issues like timing strech so thats why i would like timing gears if possible.

2 will call ssm about the valvesstill waiting on my stroker kit.

3 so i can swap new 8.8 with one of the limited slip as mention.

4 cool will get udp on asap. 01 up mustangs or f150/ tom said aslong as its 01-04/ internal balancedbut dont remember exactly if its mustangs or f150.

5 so with the alumin flywheel and clutch it depends on what brand i get (on clutch) will make less chatter. well whats recomended? i was thing of zoom or ram clutches? and are the the same design as the 289 mustangs of similiar year?

wanted to run alum fly. with the stock pulley for the stroker. and get udp when i get the pully but tom started talking about matchng and he wanted to only sell them as a set not by peice.

my budget changes. started with $2,500, 2 weeks later $1,000 and about $500 a month then maybe more getting a good promotion. after 4 yrs. lol so already with the stroker purchese tom screwed me on my budget plan. still need the block to be bored and clean...
