Question Beat parts to upgrade my 03 automatic v6s performance

Just recently got my 03 v6 auto mustang it is my 1st car and I want to do some things to upgrade the performance. Also a mechanic I know inspected my car and said I need a new catalytic converter so if some could recommend a good one for not to much I would greatly appreciate it.

Oem replacement is likely cheapest but if you redo the exhaust and get an h pipe with high flow cats and your choice of mufflers that fixes that problem and gains a couple of horse power to boot.

For performance read the stickies up top. But the main theme will hold "if you want to play you have to pay". It a mod sounds too good to be true it is.

The best mods for power will be the most expensive. Supercharger, turbo, nitrous oxide, head/cam/intake build. Anything else. Cost a lot of money for very very little gains.

Make very sure you want to put money into your car before you do it ...

If you do, decide how far you want to go and how to do it.

RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH

But as an auto, to really wake your car up, a handheld tuner would be great.
For the life of your auto, a tranny cooler kit !!!! these autos are BAD about heat and heat KILLS your tranny !!!!

Jmod shift kit is also easy and cheap.

All of those will really wake up the car!

The exhaust you'll love, look into your emissions laws first though.

And to really get more enjoyment, lower gears and a Tlok (posi) well lock the wheels and accelerate faster !

i wanted to mod mine to gain some horsepower and all so i got everything cut off and put on high flow cats with true dual exhaust, magnaflow mufflers and some big 3 1/2" resonating tips. it sounds good. not like im trying to make it sound like a v8 though. its a beefy v6 sound haha. but it cost like $330 at a local exhaust shop
