Not really, all you need is to get a ratchet with an extension and you should be fine, I changed my plugs a couple weeks ago

yeah, its a tight fit i would agree. but its very doable. try to use a 'flex head extension' or better yet a 'flex head ratchet'.

which spark plug are you having a problem w/? the last two right farthest and all the way in the back right?

oh how much is the shop charging for that service, btw? I think this will be an interesting answer so others who change their own plugs can felt the $$$ savings.

next time you bring it in the shop for a change, maybe you can look and see how the mechanic does it, its a great way to learn from a pro.

I remember my first car..a 74 Corolla. I went to change the plugs one day with plugs in hand and a nice ratchet. Popped the hood...and low and behold the plugs were like 6 inches down in the engine block. Hahaha .Needless to say i didn't change the plugs in that car.

You guys should try changing plugs on a 3.0 Mitsu/Chrysler......

yeah, did that last year for my wife's mitsu. (shop wanted 250 for labor and parts)

Yup, whole intake system has to come off, you have to replace intake gaskets everytime you change plugs

You guys should try to change plugs in an LT1 F-body. You'll only do it once.
