actually if I am correct the T56 transmission will not work because the bell housing only bolts up to the modular motors, also if it could bolt up wouldn't the gear ratios be a bit much for the v6? I know that some people have bolted a tko 500/600, which I believe is like an updated T3550 to the v6, but I would probably go with an upgraded t5 like astro performace or g force. maybe someone who knows a little more about transmissions will add to this...

the T56 wouldnt be too much but it would be like over kill with o/d not sure how it would react with 2.73 at all may cause it to stall out on me lmao but then again at that power level it might be a good thing with gas mileage and such. and the bell housing can be replaced can it not? is there only one bellhousing type for each transmission?

we it seems as though for a 6spd we are sol. there is however a place that can change gearing to longer or shorter gears than the stock t5 and be able to handle 800+hp ranges while keeping the oem look of the car

The t56 will work, but you'll have to get a bellhousing. I know Quicktime and Lakewood make scatter sheilds (bellhousings) that can adapt the t-56 to a bunch of different engines, but you'd have to look into it to see if they make one with a V6 bolt pattern.
