03 Mustang Headliner

03 Mustang Headliner
Hello all,
I am new to the forum (first post) so sorry if this has been asked before. I have an 03 mustang that has a factory sunroof in it. Apparently this was very rare. I was cleaning it the other day and tore a hole in the headliner needless to say I am wanting to get this fixed ASAP. It seems that the only headliners I can find do not have the sunroof pre-cut. Does anyone know where I could find one that is pre-cut for the sunroof?

If its not factory someone done a really good job putting it in then. Cant tell the difference at all from what ford would do themselves! I read that they never offered it, but it could be custom done at dealer request

You're not going to find a headliner for that.
Chances are that was custom installed by either a dealership or an aftermarket by the PO. And I bet even they custom fitted the headliner.
1. Hit a shop that specializes in interiors and get a quote.
2. Buy a non-cut headliner and install yourself. (Probably much cheaper.)
Either way, look into cleaning up the sealer that used around the window on top...

Thanks for the help. I was thinking I would probably need to get a non-cut one was hoping there may be other options. Do you know how difficult it will be to cut the sunroof out in a new one?
I was going to look into doing alot of work to it now just recently made the final payment have to get the hood re-painted first and foremost

Just drop the headliner out, find matching "headliner" fabric at your local fabric store and redo it yourself.
Remove headliner but basically dismantling the whole inside of the car from the glass up.
Being very careful, since factory headliners are cardboard, peel off the old material.
If there is any "foam" use a brass brush to get it all off.
Don't damage the headliner board itself, but get it as clean as possible, the cleaner it is the better
Find some high quality spray adhesive, 3M 77, or if you can find it, floor glue in an aerosol.
Spray both the headliner and headliner cloth with the adhesive, let sit a few minutes
Using some help, cautiously intall apply the material, slowly and smoothly. Screwing up will undo pretty much everything you did.
Once you have the new material applied, it's time to trim
Leave at least 1 1/2" of excess around all the edges
Flip the headliner and apply adhesive to the edges of the material and headliner and fold the edges over
Try not to stretch it too much or it will pull back and eventually start to unattach itself from that area.
Reinstall headliner
