its illegal to just drive around using a regular horn unless it's used as a safety warning device. I've never gotten a ticket in the peterbilt for train horns, then again I don't drive around being a jackass with them, and I see no reason to mount them in a mustang but I doubt you would get more then a small ticket for them

Many states indeed have laws about using your horn inappropriately, they probably have db limits too. Just things to check into before dropping cash! Also, consider the opportunity cost. If you don't buy the horn, you can make your car that much faster, or look that much better (or take a cute girl out on a date or two)

Don't do it, it's a jackass thing to do and serves NO purpose. There is a guy(redneck douche) in my area rolling around with one installed, thinkin' it's FUNNY to scare people. He didn't even blow it at ME(two car lengths away) and I was freakin' Pissed(He got an ear full). Your just asking for trouble,ask long enough and someone WILL reply.
