Best way to bypass EGR valve? 2000 3.8 v6
Thanks in advance, I'm sure this has been covered many times before, but searching the forums here produces little I could use...
and, everything I've found on youtube doesn't quite show how to do it for my mine...
Need to know the best way to bypass an EGR valve on 2000 3.8 v6 Mustang?
I'm 90% sure that's my problem with stuttering, and don't care to buy a new EGR valve until I know that's *exactly* my problem...
(the town I live, I don't have access to a tester where I can hook up to check the seal/gasket).
If there's a simple way to bypass the EGR valve and test... and a video would be perfect.
I know the CEL will stay on, It stays on anyway bc of 'EGR: emission overflow detected'. I just want to confirm it's EGR, and not a vacuum leak I've missed in some other place, ya know?
Again, thanks in advance!

Why bypass? What is the CEL code you have?
You can test an EGR valve with a simple hand vacuum pump. Testing it isn’t really vehicle specific. They all work pretty much the same. Here is a good video:
