Default 2001 Mustang Coil Replacement - opinions on brands

Any thoughts on the various brands for coil packs?

Standard? Motocraft, etc... which ones to stay away from?

Looking for good value, but not overpriced either.

:-)

I agree, most of the OEM parts are better quality parts

Go with Motorcraft. I've owned one of these cars since 04 and for most things the Motorcraft part is the best and longest lasting stuff you can get. Plus I've read countless articles about how aftermarket coils don't do as well at high rpm as the factory ones and don't last as long overall. Having said this, I don't know anything about the msd pack mentioned above. The stock one for 99-00 is 75 and the 01-04 is 64 on rock auto.

Motorcraft being the benchmark, MSD was the same price and had free shipping when I needed a new one, no problems yet, haven't heard anything bad about the MSD unit yet, I have heard bad experiences from the screaming demon.
