Default WRX/Forester turbo on 2000 V6

I got a turbo for a Subaru Forester/WRX. Its pretty small, but I was wondering how difficult it would be to DIY turbo my car, cost ideas, difficulty. The turbo is:

14412AA360
49377-04300
TD04L 020514121

Just looking for some ideas and some input. The turbo was free. And my mechanic says it works.

Beauty about turbos is that you can mount them anywhere and they are pretty universal in application as long as they arent too big for said engine. It might just take a little fabrication depending on the exhaust flange it has.

A TD04 is too small in my opinion. These are pretty underwhelming on the Foresters and would probably be even worse on your Mustang. I'd go with a larger turbo.

Too small to make power.
DIY turbo without proper knowledge will set you back close to $3000 or more.

for a lil more than 3 grand you can get an entire turbo kit from tmaturbo, so unless know what you're doing.... go with a premade kit
