will they look nice? will they fit nice? are they okay quality?

gonna get some 245/45/17 tires too from tireplus here in town and hope to have these by next week!

Terminator wheels would look good on your car.

I'm also a big fan of the '98 Cobra wheels. They're a little different than the typical '95 Cobra Rs that you see all over. They have a little curve to the spoke to give a more aggressive look to them.

Also not trying to be a jerk but the amount your spending on tires and rims could go a long way towards making your car faster or saving for a GT like you want.....

I have like 8k saved up and I have been looking for a GT for the past couple months but havn't been able to find one thats not in junky condition. I have decided to keep my v6 because its in great condition and everything works, and instead of dropping 8k for a new car, I'll spend 1k for my rims+tires, then a few thousand on performance and I'll be satisfied and have money left over too.

Keep an eye on the TCStangs.com classified section. You might be able to snag some wheels/tires cheap that are in good shape.

BabyGT 06-16-2013 04:03 PM

no apology needed, was just making an observation. Hunt around, paid $50 for my bullits, yes 5-0, 25+25, 25x2, 5x10. i misunderstood the guy and thought he meant 50 a rim myself. course the tires were all bad.

Anywho, I picked up my gt dirt cheap cause the previous owner thought the oil pan gasket was blown, and it had a few other hiccups. oil leak was just the sensor for the pressure gauge leaking.

Sucks that you don't live closer, I have a nice 02 GT for quite a bit less than the 8K that you have.

On topic, here is my Cobra with 03 Cobra wheels on it.

nice, and yeah I used to live in texas and although I'm a northerner at heart, I LOVED texas' mustang selection. I got my 2003 mustang v6 back in 2007 (which i had to sell later :( ) with 40k milage for only 7k!! I'm in Minnesota now and I'm lucky to find a GT without a rusted out body that still runs :S

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....odel=Ecsta+AST

zentin 06-17-2013 12:27 PM

this is afswheels.com

tired of all the waiting, does sears have good loooking rims? thinking of going to sears and just buying their rims that have the S in the middle and look kinda like cobra rims. tired of ordering crap online i want my damn rims NOW

LilRoush 06-17-2013 06:09 PM

Don't worry too much. They'll refund it and you can keep looking. Try AmericanMuscle. You can get a wheel/tire package from them and they give us a forum discount for being on here.

Daehawk 06-17-2013 06:11 PM

I thought there was no forum discount?

But ya Id use them.

If you pm one of the reps on here they will send you the code.

Also don't be impatient and settle on something just to get it fast. You WILL regret it. And be jealous of everyone that has nicer rims.

Hit up Craigslist. Might could fine some rims/tires for a lot less than brand new.

+1 on this.

I found this set of wheels for $200 in perfect condition. Not a single knick or scuff, and nearly new tires:
http://mustangforums.com/forum/membe...624710b4-1.jpg

Guy bought a GT/CS and then immediately bought new wheels and tires. Five years later, they were collecting dust in the garage and he just wanted to get rid of them.

I would have needed spacers to use them, and my wife didn't want to bother (her car) so we sold them and bought these instead:
http://mustangforums.com/forum/membe...new-wheels.jpg

Even though they are for an '05+ they fit well without spacers and I think they look better on the New Edge than the curvy Bullitt-type wheels..
Then we sold the stock wheels.

After it was all said and done, I spent $20 to upgrade my stock, curbed wheels with bald tires to nice wheels with new tires.
