Does anyone know if you need new rivets or something to hold the foam in place, it seems the ones already on it cant be reused.

My knowledge is little about the foam on the car but I have delt with foam in many other applications. I have always used liquid nails for projects to hold my foam. Yes I know it's caulk basically but a little dab will go a long way

The foam is intended to absorb direct, slow speed impacts and provide a small crush zone in direct higher speed impacts. Very little is needed to "hold it in place" as long as it is in the right position before an impact.

So, if it's no longer connected with the original fasteners, I just use... duct tape. It holds it in place well enough and nobody sees it anyways.

Till the tape comes loose from weather and hangs done in your lower grill..... Use some 3M double sided tape.

Could be. But, I did this on my old Saturn and after five years it hadn't come undone at all. The bumper cover kept it protected from the worst of the elements. Never had any trouble with it.

Of course, if I lived somewhere with more rain it might be an issue, but I just live near Seattle.

I think you can get new ones from Ford in a small pack. I can't remember for sure but I think that's what I did for my 95. Other times on less prized vehicles I just used zip ties.
