I bought it from Walmart so no haha. But I got everything installed and working in a safe manner. Like I said just the hot isn't working. I mean I can still operate my stereo it just will reset my settings, stations, and time everytime I turn it off n on

But before it would short wouldn't it just burn a fuse? Idk it just sucks that I finally got my speakers workin n now I have another problem holding me up from completely installing my deck.

That is the point of a fuse, however if the wire was some how damaged, pinched, or isn't making a solid contact then the fuse will be fine.
