4.6 injectors in 3.8?
Will the injectors out of a 96 mustang gt with a 4.6 work in a 3.8? I am asking because i am replacing the injectors in my 96 gt with larger ones and my 98 windstar with the 3.8 in it needs injectors so i was wanting to put the injectors out of my mustang in the windstar. To save a little money! The more i can save on the windstar meens the more i can spend on the mustang lowl.

I would guess not, but who knows lol. The ohms may be different. The part numbers are different at auto zone, but the injectors look alike.
worst case is they either wont function at all or they open and stay open flooding the engine lol
I suppose if they plug in and fit its worth a shot.

I can tell you this , when I worked at a little car lot as the mechanic we pulled fuel rails and all kinds of parts out of various cars.
I have pulled unknown injectors from rails that looked similar to use in something that needed an injector, and usually as long as they plugged in and were the same size they worked.

I was going to pull all the injectors out of the mustang and put them in the van if the larger injectors would work in the mustang. but if the larger injectors wont work in the mustang then im SOL.

Well like I said in the other post, Im not 100% sure on the 4.6l computers fuel strategy , I know up stream o2 sensors read the oxygen in the exhaust and the computer reads this as a lean or rich mix . So installing larger fuel injectors should cause it to momentarily read rich and the computer should shorten the injector pulse until it gets the optimum reading.
