A brief history of the car, a woman used to own the car and ticked somebody off enough to have her windows smashed in (including the rear window) She then sold it as-is to a guy who restored cars as a side-job who then sold it to me. I dont think he quite knew what he was doing when he installed the rear window because I noticed many of them have massive scrapes on them and will require the conductive paint repair kit seeing as how they do not work.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have pictures (inside and out) of how the connections SHOULD look like? Specifically, the areas around the connector tab, and where there should be paint?
I have a 1998 V6 Mustang (Not a convertible)

The two lines that do work are exactly at the very top of the connection point/square and one below the square itself. (this makes for a very poor visibility in cold weather)

Good luck. Mine looks fine. I've triple checked it. No breaks at all. The fuse is good. And the switch lights up when pressed...but it doesn't work.

I think I have a similar problem. When y'all turn on the defroster, do the all the lines defrost evenly? Mine starts with like a middle line and one lower line and thats all that works for about 10 min. Then they all kick in. Im just wondering.

Nope, the two lines that do work heat up evenly and none of the others will come on at all. If I have the time I will get out early tomorrow morning and snap a few pics so you can see what I mean.

So the paint had cured for 24hrs and there was finally some condensation to test it out on...im pleased to report that 3/4ths of the lines now heat up. As for the ones that dont, they were the most damaged out of them all so I am guessing I missed a small scratch somewhere and will just go nuts with the paint and cover the lines with a coat whether they need it or not. (Ill do it on the weekend) Tomorrow I hope to get pictures of what it looks like now.

it looks like its partly copper or something because it was orange when wet, brown when dry

Hmm. I may have to get some after looking closer at mine. I've had the car 3 years and never really bothered. The other day though I couldn't see anything behind me and just hoped no one was there.

but mine looks fine ..so I dont know.

Its confusing because the areas where I painted work faster than the regular lines do. I also went over each line with a magnifying glass, carefully touching up any spots that looked even remotely broken. But as you will see in the pictures, there are still several lines that do not work, and I cant see anything wrong with them....

Might have to just simply buy another bottle and paint over each line with a coating (even if its only a single coating) Just so you are aware if you havent used it before... the paint dries really quickly, leaving the brush useless and wasting a lot of the paint. The paint must also be used up in full fairly quick after opening, 1-2 days max open shelf life because mine dried up before I could do any more.
