Default 95 mustang bell housing bolts

I have a question about a 95 bell housing. I'm working on a t5 swap on my 95 mustang, and i ordered the bell housing recently. It didn't come with any of the bolts or dowel pins. I've been looking online for some, but the websites always have them for 5.0's and i have a 3.8. Will the bolts still work? The dowel pins online always show a picture of two, so will they also work? Thanks.

Just use the ones that are holding your current transmission in.

So the transmission already has the right amount of bolts and dowel pins? I read somewhere that i have to buy two new bolts though.

It has the correct amount of bolts but I think the t5 uses a shorter set of them.

If you try to use the aode trans bolts they will bottom out in the block before they are even close to drawing tight against the bell housing. And I think it is just the very top 2 bolts that are shorter, My first 95 was a v6 base swapped to a carbed 5.0l origannally an aode swapped to a t5 and the top 2 bolts I used washers to take up the extra space . I think it was about 1/2" difference.

T5 trans for a 5.0, and a 3.8l on the 95 has the same bolt pattern and dowls. Just get the t5 bolts from a 50 and youll be good.

I’m not sure about the bolts, but I do know that the bolts for the AODE/4R70W trans are a couple different lengths. So keep track of which bolts came out of which wholes etc. But another option is to hit up a junk yard and snag a set of bolts. A lot cheaper and you’ll know your getting the right set of bolts. Good luck...

Yeah i went to the junkyard today to go look at a couple of mustangs they just got, but of course they were both automatic. But I'm going to just order some new bolts for off of american muscle or something. Thanks!
