I just picked up a 2001 the abs light went on 10 minutes after driving it then went off in 5 minutes.Only came on 1 quick flash 2 hours later.Now its not coming on.Loose connection of sensor anyone else have this issue

Im pretty sure that on that year of car you can have the abs codes read to see what code was stored for the abs system. That would be your best bet . The abs light comes on if the computer detects a problem. typical reasons would be faulty wheel speed sensor , air in the system , corroded plug on a wheel sensor . You just need to get it checked to see what code it set. You need a scanner capable of reading chassis codes , most of the ones they use at autozone and other parts stores are only capable of reading powertrain codes.

I have a similar problem with my '95. Light comes on only when hard, hard breaking then goes away like nothings wrong. Interested to hear what people chime in with.

mine used to do that when pulling out on hills, turned out that the brake fluid was low
