I don't know about you guys, but I find it easier to drive in snow with a manual. Plus snow tires make a world of difference on any car. I remember driving my old mustang in the snow with some decent tires and it wasn't bad at all.

My Mustang is 100% better than my TransAm was. In snow forget it. In rain it liked the ditches. My old Corolla though could go anywhere in snow as long as I kept the right side wheels off the road and on the grass area lol. In fact I have NEVER seen a worse car in any weather than a Trans-Am.

Never really had much problems with my 02 manual when I lived back in New Jersey even when my tires weren't all that great. Honestly the biggest pain in the butt is usually waiting for the damned roads to be plowed enough to even attempt driving.

get 4 snow tires and ease on the throttle while turning, and you can plow 5+ inches of snow with your front bumper.

Snow tires might seem pricey, but are totally worth it. (try to find a place thats having a special on tires) with snow tires, you dont have to worry about "weight in the trunk" or getting stuck or anything....to me they make it feel like theres no snow on the ground even.

nah you don't need chains, snow tires are made very well these days!

I got 4 goodyear ultra grips mounted and balanced for less than 500$ (including the rebate they gave me)

blizzak makes a cheaper tire that still works amazingly! check out some "mustang snow tires" videos on youtube.
