Default HID Kit Recommendations?

My stock headlights aren't that good, so I've been looking into getting an HID conversion kit. I've helped my friend install a kit in his, but he's since moved away and that was years ago and I was wondering what kits you preferred.

I would love to get it from Amazon, if you can find a kit there. I'd prefer to spend under $75.

What kit do I need? I'm only looking for low-beam HIDs. I live far out in the country and never encounter any huge city traffic.

My guess is that I need a 35W/9007 kit. Do I also need mounting brackets, or a harness? I was told wiring it would be a huge pain without a harness.

I got my HID kit from HIDgeeks.com, over a year and a half ago, no issues what so ever...i did the 55watt for both my headlights (10k) and fog lights (8k). Great prices...i think i paid around $35 for each kit...good deal.

EDIT: Seems website has been renamed to wholesaleHID.com

Do you have stock housing for your lights? And why 55w instead of 35w? Any power issues?

55W is brighter than 35W, that's a rating for the ballasts, uses the same bulbs.

55w ballasts, 8k bulbs. Got my kit from DDMTuning, they have pretty good customer service, I had a bulb go bad on me. After I sent them a message they sent me a new pair of bulbs to be sure they came from the same batch and matched intensity good .

That's what I'm looking for! Did you have to get the harnesses for them? Or just the 55w 8k bulbs/ballasts? Easy to install? DDMTuning was the website I was looking at.
