When you have to dump thousands into suspension to get the same handling as some stock econo imports that clearly lumps you into the straight line/not good at cornering category. You can build a v6 to be an 8 second car if you throw enough money at it.

I'm assuming that the average person isn't going to buy a v6 and throw wads of cash at it to make it perform as good as a GT when they could have bought a GT and throw the same amount at it and be ten times faster.

You can make anything do anything you want with enough money but that's a different story.

While a 94-98 GT may "only" have 30 ish more horse power (assuming the car is 100% stock) these same cars have an additional 60 more foot pounds of torque. That combination, along with a decent driver is enough to keep you very well at bay.

Think of it like this, horse power determines your top speed, torque is how fast you get there.

Also 99-04s must get a tune as they do not use a speedo gear to correct the speed.
Yes, you are right. I am naturally aspirated. But the mods I do have are:
under drive pulley
BBK cold air intake
4.2 intake manifold
SCT tuner VAP tune
short shifter
stage 1 clutch
94 shorty headers
Pypes duel exhaust with shorty cats
Comp Cam rocker arms
rebuilt engine bored with .30 pistons and shaved heads
I expected more, but I chose to go down this road.

All the stuff you done has added very little power. Running all of that on a factory cam and heads isn't gonna do much. Even then you still really need FI.

Was headed down that route, but I am having a big wiring problem. The man at the dealership called it, "a can of worms". The pats system does not communicate and I can install tunes after removing the engine wiring harness. I can not data log that way and getting a perfect tune with a cam, big valves, and port n polish work is almost impossible. SUCKS FOR ME But on a positive note, getting 4.10 gears and a 8.8 eventually

Of course being in this sections it's the V6 3.8L engine.

Me and my friend have decided that by the end of the year (2014) we'll have smashed all the ricers in our local area.

Here's my problem(s)
1. Not enough Horsepower
2. The handling in this car is quite possibly the worst I've ever experienced like I feel like I'm going to die every time I go over a bump.
3. It looks... eh.

Problems I don't have.

The car is mechanically perfect.

So the question is, what should I do to it to solve my issues? Coilovers? (If so what brand do you recommend?) Say screw it and drop a V8 in there?

Thanks to anyone who helps out!
I personally would start with simply rattle cans of matte black paint as far as looks go. I did my wheels, rear decklid, spoiler, and top of vehicle in it. And when I came to town all my friends were really impressed. Not bragging. But I think it looks really good for a sixxer
