Optima Batteries' Search for the Ultimate Street Car TV Series will begin filming their first episode at the Ultimate Street Car Association event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on March 7-9th. Unlike some automotive TV shows, this will feature real street cars, real competition and the top contenders will be invited to the 2014 SEMA Show and the 2014 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational. All 11 episodes will be filmed and broadcast on MavTV.

Other tracks include Texas Motor Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, Auto Club Speedway, Road America, Gateway Motorsports Park, Portland International, Michigan International, Sebring and Pittsburgh International.

Too bad the closest track is still a couple hundred miles away...

I guess it's a matter of perspective. I know of at least one guy in New Mexico, who would love to be just a couple hundred miles from the closest track. If a couple hundred miles is too much, I hope you can at least check it out when it comes on TV. I'm glad Ken Edwards was willing to make the 2,500-mile trip from Huntington Station to Las Vegas last year
