It would work. If you dont like it you can always take it off that's the best part. Honestly for me it would be a temporary measure until I can get new wheels but yours would look good dipped black. Now my tip, I have used plastidip on my interior before. You'll prob need 2 cans at least for the wheels. Go with light coats. Like really light. Just spray it wait 30 min till you coat it again. Add as many coats as you think looks good. It will probably be different for wheels but i found 3-4 coats worked best for my parts. But yea do it I say It would look good and for ~15 dollars you cant beat the look plus it is really easy

Here is a pic of my new edge with 94-95 GT wheels plastidipped. I like the look of it. My only complaint is I think with the tires it just looks overwhelmingly dark. I prefer the bullitts with a chrome lip. I used 3 cans, 3 coats, 15-20min between each coat.

GHJ, I think that looks really good. I just heard of plasti dip for the first time this past Saturday at the place that detailed my car. They were talking about learning how to do it there. I'm now considering doing that to my rims. I'm reading several things about using 5 or 6 coats, though. I really like the all black look. My 2004 is black, so between black rims and wanting to get tint done, I think it would look good too...and if it doesn't look right, then I guess I could peel it off.

When you did yours, did you take the wheels off of your car first or did you tape/cover everything to do it?

I did it on my truck, and i like it. My reasoning was, that i can totally change the look of my vehicle for about $15 while i save up money to drop on a new set of wheels. Ive had them done for about 3 months now, and so far, i havent had one single issue. Nothing has started peeling on me, and i even take my truck off road. I would say do it.. whats the worth thing that could happen? waste 5 bucks?

Thanks!

Vivid- Did you leave the wheels on the car when you did it or did you take everything off first? I'm now considering doing this in April over spring break (I work for a school system).

I wouldnt recommend doing your whole car with the cans though. Doing wheels, front grill, bumpers, and those kinda parts work fine, but if you're doing the whole vehicle, i would suggest you buy the sprayer. It makes it so you can spray on long even lines down the vehicle, so it comes out much better. Heres a link to an ebay listing. You can find them all day for under $200
