Default Looking at a 2000 V6

So first off I hate ford but I have been wanting to get a mustang for a while now(I have an 03 f150 that I love so I don't know why I am seriously considering a mustang when I hate ford)

I found this and wanted to know if there's anything I should look out for. It has a blown head gasket, according to the owner was most likely due to a bad radiator. I can replace a headgasket and I assume I would want to replace the radiator and maybe the hoses (I have the tools and most of the knowledge to do so and some real worked hands on tearing down my moms 04 honda accord. V6 6 speed, bent valves and warped head but thats another story)

I intend to make it a daily driver If I do get it so nothing crazy for performance needs. I see head gaskets are $50 from Autozone for it. A radiator from Autozone is $150. Is there any reason to get the "Performance" Headgasket?

Any way to verify the heads not warped or anything? Assuming it is warped I have no idea if its better to have it milled or just hit the junk yards around here.

There is no edit button but I wanted to point out if there are any other issues I should keep an eye out for for this particular year. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but not a mechanic. Also what other issues should I try to look for with it having a blown head?

Whenever I see a car listed as just needing a head gasket I just assume it's going to need a new motor and offer them a price accordingly. No telling if the head is warped or anything else. Then your buying a new head, or at the very least having it milled, and if you have one head shaved I always have them both done to the same amount so compression is even across all cylinders. (Some people say this is overkill, your call.)

I'm sorry but I've seen way cheaper mustangs with blown head gaskets at this price. This is still pretty expensive due to the fact that it has 188k miles, really bad paintjob, the fact that he's bought it as 'as is' means that it's probably been standing there for a long time. I wouldn't buy it.

You can find an actual working 00 mustang for around 1k-2k.

All I'm trying to say is that $1k is too much, I mean if you can get it for 500$, go for it, what have you got to lose?

So, You "hate" Ford, yet love your F150 AND are looking at a Mustang? I guess my definition of hate and yours is very different.

Better choices out there for the money. That car just smells like a money pit.
