bent axle

So my axle is bent on my v6 and i want to swap it out with a gt axle. Is that just a easy swap or will i need anything special cause of the different gear ratios?

They are the same axle. 99-04 base and gt ,, at least according to this. plus auto zone lists the exact same part number between the 99-04 gt and v6 base.
